During the season of Advent, we will be collecting items for the residents of Embassy of Park Avenue.  Many of the residents no longer have family nearby and your kindness can bring them joy, comfort, and the true spirit of the season. We are collecting donations and small gifts to fill stockings, decorate rooms, and make the holidays merry and bright!

Suggested items include: warm socks, slippers or blankets, lotions, body wash or lip balm, word search or puzzle books, small gifts, ornaments or Christmas decorations.  Monetary donations or gift cards will also be accepted and will be used to ensure every resident receives a thoughtful gift this season!

Come, let us adore him!  Christmas Eve worship services at Stone UMC will be Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at 7 PM in our sanctuary at 956 S. Main St., Meadville PA.  Gather your family, friends, neighbors and join us as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

In honor of Stone's 200th anniversary this year, the Bicentennial Committee prepared individual prints and prints on slate featuring original artwork by local Meadville artist Cruz Dragosavac.  There are still prints for framing and prints on slates available!

They make great birthday, anniversary and Christmas gifts! Local artist Cruz Dragosavac created this orginal art in honor of Stone's bicentennial celebration this year.  Get your local artwork and support your church at the same time! Please see a committee member - Anne Finney, Jan Edmonds, Sue DeArment or Jane Smith or Jen Royer in the office to make your selection.

Prints on slate from Stone UMC and local buildings are available with a variety of mat options in small 11"x7" ($25), medium 11"x12" ($35) and large 11"x18-22" ($45). Individual prints are available in three sizes: 5"x7" ($15), 8"x10" ($25) and 11"x14" ($35).  Shipping is available for an additional shipping fee - please call the office for more information.

Online safety is important all year long, but especially at the holidays as fraudulent actors may take advantage of the spirit of generosity of the season.  Please make sure you are aware of potential scams and stay alert when online, especially for "phishing" scams where fraudsters may attempt to impersonate a company or person that you know and fish for your personal information with an email...learn more by watching the video below from University of Texas' Identity Institute.

Grief Share is a 13 week, nationally-known program specifically designed for use by churches.  If you would be interested in participating, please call Pastor Kendra at 814-724-6736.  GriefShare will be offered at Stone UMC on Tuesday evenings (6PM) and Wednesday mornings from October through January 2026.

Giving to the church for the year 2025 must be into the church office by December 30, 2025. 

Beginning in 2026, quarterly statements will no longer be mailed.  A yearly statement of giving will be provided at the end of the year to all givers who would like to receive one.  Please contact Financial Secretary Darlene Ross or let the church office know that you would like to continue to receive a printed statement.  As always, if you have any questions about the status of your pledges or giving, Darlene will be happy to assist you.
