November Food DriveBenefits the Meadville Center for Family Services Food Pantry Stone UMC will be collecting non-perishable foods from November 1 - November 23 to benefit the Meadville Center for Family Services Food Pantry. Their shelves are almost bare. Due to the State and Federal government shut-downs the food pantry has not received state money since June and are no longer receiving federal funds. To make matters worse, it was announced SNAP Benefits would be halted beginning Nov. 1st until the federal shut-down ends. This is putting many families at risk of going hungry. Please drop off your donations in the church lobby or bring them to church on Sunday mornings. Suggested items include, canned meat, pasta, boxed meals, spaghetti sauce, canned soups, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, dried or canned milk, canned potatoes or other vegetables, macaroni and cheese, etc..
Are you or someone you know facing food insecurity? Stop by our lobby to look through a listing of the MANY local food resources in our area! Office Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday 8am-1pm and Thursday 8am-12pm For more infomation visit:
