UMCOR Menstrual Kit Collection

Each year the Western PA United Methodist Conference designates one or more Mission Impact projects in coordination with the Annual Conference.  This year they are collecting monetary donations and donations of items to put together UMCOR Menstrual Kits.  Please stop by the lobby and visit Marie Schlosser at the UMCOR Table to learn more or drop off your donations after our worship service this Pentecost Sunday, May 24, 2026.

In a disaster, being able to find basic necessities becomes extremely challenging. These kits are essential for restoring dignity, health, and equity to vulnerable populations during disasters, crises, and economic hardship. These kits combat period poverty by providing necessary products (pads, tampons, hygiene items), allowing individuals—especially students—to maintain daily routines without missing school or work, while reducing stigma.

Needed items include:

One-gallon size re-sealable bags

2 ounce bottles of hand sanitizer

4-gallon bathroom trash bags

Travel packs of Wet Ones wipes

Tampons - regular and super absorbency, unscented

Sanitary Napkins - Unscented

Long super ultra-thin

Bath-size soap (3 oz. bar or larger) - No Ivory or Jergen’s soap,Do not remove from packaging.

One pack of flushable wipes (42 count) -Unscented

Laundry detergent sheets

• Monetary donations may be dropped off at the church by June 2, 2026 or send a check (payable to WPAUMC with “2026 Mission Impact” in memo line) for any donation amount to the Conference Center at WPAUMC, P.O. Box 5002, Cranberry Twp., PA 16066. 

The Annual Conference goal is to assemble 1,000 kits, so your support is greatly appreciated!
