Our Stone Children's Center is looking ahead to the fall and is pleased to share that they anticipate ALL classrooms are scheduled to have full enrollment for the 2025-26 school year! If you would like to support the Stone Children's Center, the list below includes items that often need replenished throughout the year - Let's stock up the SCC!! There is a collection bin in Thoburn Lobby and at the back of the sanctuary for you to drop off your items.
Stone Children's Center was formed in 1997 to be a family-strengthening ministry to the community by providing affordable, quality childcare and preschool education. The current program began in 2007 as a renewal of the orginial ministry due to the generous bequest of church member Elizabeth Whiting. Erie-Meadville District Conference Superintendent
Rev. Sang Choi, who has faithfully and passionately served the Erie-Meadville and Kane Districts, has accepted a new appointment with the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference beginning August 1. We share our prayers, blessings, and thanksgiving with Rev. Choi and his family as he serves on loan from the WPA Conference to the EPA Conference. Rev. Lisa Grant, a retired elder, will serve as the Conference Superintendent for the Erie Meadville District beginning September 1, 2025. Although Rev. Grant’s appointment begins September 1, she will be doing some transitional work in regard to the Erie-Meadville District during the month of August. From August 1 to September 1, Andrea Wolf – who will continue to serve as the Administrative Assistant for both the Kane and Erie-Meadville Districts – will be working with Rev. Chung to address any questions or needs that may arise in Erie-Meadville until Rev. Grant officially begins her appointment on September 1. As Rev. Grant begins her ministry, Andrea will continue to assist Rev. Grant, Rev. Chung, and both Districts.
