As of February 5, our volunteers have logged over 70 hours of patching and painting in the south end of the basement of the church since we started in November!  This includes the main hallway and adjacent areas, the “old” hallway that runs parallel to it, the entry to the Lord’s Locker, and the “New Room”.  It was estimated that these areas were last painted at least 20 years ago - and it was surely time for refresh!  These areas get a surprising amount of traffic by various groups that meet at Stone UMC and the Soup Kitchen staff, volunteers and patrons.
We are still looking for more volunteers as we finish up this year’s winter painting effort.  We will continue to meet each Saturday from 1 to 4 PM with March 13 being our final day.
