THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL WELCOME!
What a joyful afternoon of fellowship and community! Stone United Methodist Church and Bethany United Methodist Church extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped welcome our new pastor, Rev. Domingos Francisco Fernando, to the Meadville community at the Meet-and-Greet held at the Family, Children & Community Association (FCCA).
The packed house, filled with children, youth, and adults, was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when churches and community come together in a spirit of friendship and welcome.
Special thanks to Commissioner Christopher Seeley, Mayor Jaime Kinder, Rev. Dr. Jane Ellen Nickell, Stephanie Marin, and Rev. Jackie Roberson for their welcoming remarks; to those who brought greetings on behalf of Dr. Ron Cole, President of Allegheny College; to Mrs. Debbie Knapp, who introduced Pastor Domingos; and to Rev. Marvin Burnett, who blessed our gathering with the opening and closing prayers.
We are especially grateful to FCCA for its hospitality, and to everyone who planned, prepared, served, contributed, cleaned up, and worked behind the scenes. And what wonderful food—we enjoyed every bite!
Most of all, thank you to everyone who came and made Pastor Domingos feel at home. Your presence, laughter, fellowship, and warm welcome made the afternoon truly special.
Welcome to Meadville, Pastor Domingos! May God bless this new chapter of ministry as we worship, serve, and grow together.
