Saturday

Suggested Scripture reading: Mark 15: 42-47 and Luke 23:50-56

Lesson/Devotional:

A man named Joseph asked Pilate if he could have the body of Jesus so that he could lay him to rest peacefully. Joseph wrapped him in cloth and laid him in a tomb of rock. He rolled a big rock against the entrance to the tomb. Two women both named Mary saw Jesus being laid to rest. What can we learn from Joseph?

Joseph had faith in Jesus Christ so much that he approached the very man put Jesus to death to ask him if he could bury him. It was probably scary to talk to this man but Joseph knew what was right and that he needed to give Jesus a proper burial. Sometimes we have to face our fears and always have faith that Jesus will be with us!!
