Suggested Scripture reading: Luke 19: 47-48

Lesson/Devotional:

After Jesus cleared the temple he began to teach daily. The priests were mad because Jesus had ruined their place of business and they wanted to get rid of Him, but they couldn’t because the people loved Jesus! Jesus had turned the temple back into a place to learn about God. The people followed Him everywhere and listened to every word He said.

Do you always listen to the words of Jesus or do you sometimes listen to yourself instead? Sometimes we can be selfish and only look toward what we want or think we need but Jesus wants you to listen to God’s word and respect church as a holy place. When you make a mistake all you have to do is pray and ask for forgiveness! Jesus loves you!

Tuesday Activity:

Look at the respect poster and think about ways that you can be respectful. Draw pictures of yourself being respectful.
