Lent is here, and Easter is just around the corner.  With this in mind, I have recently purchased some Equal Exchange Fair Trade/Organic chocolates. The small farmers that produce these scrumptious chocolates are guaranteed a fair wage for their labors, plus there are no pesticides used in these chocolates from plant to candy bar.  These chocolates are also guaranteed child labor free. No children are working with dangerous, sharp tools to harvest the cocoa beans. Instead, they are in school, where they belong. These are claims, unfortunately, that many of some of the world's most prominent chocolate producers cannot claim.

By supporting Equal Exchange with a chocolate purchase, we are also supporting children around the globe.  It would also be an educational opportunity for your own children. The inside of each candy bar wrapper tells who the grower is and from where it came.  Easter is a time of giving chocolates, and what better way to give to our own loved ones than with the healthiest, most love infused chocolates we can offer.  

In stock now are Dark Chocolate with Coconut Milk Bars and Milk Chocolate Caramel Crunch with Sea Salt Bars.  All 2.8-ounce bars are $3.00 each.  Milk Chocolate minis are also available: 4 for $1.00.  This is not a fund raiser. Any Equal Exchange items offered are at cost, and each purchase is an act of love.
