Do you have a poem or a prayer you would like to share? If so, submit it to for an upcoming Messenger. This month’s poem was submitted by Annie Fnney with these words…”This poem was found in my mother, Florence Odell’s, papers. She was a proofreader for the Meadville Tribune and proofread Stone’s Messenger and weekly bulletins. She was a lover of words”.

Watch Your Words

A careless word may kindle strife;

A cruel word may wreck a life.

A biter word may hate instill;

A brutal word may smite and kill.

A gracious word may smooth the way;

A joyous word may light the day.

A timely word may lessen stress;

A loving word my heal and bless.
