Look upon the sunrise of the year.
Take account of your assets clear.
Consider by this new light growth desired.
Commit the passing days to plans inspired.
For what is begun in ordered state,
your energies will surge to translate.
And fulfill by evening’s fading light,
that which was planned in clear morning sight.
When the glow of sunset ends the year,
look back to that which you did persevere.
See the intended fruits which were granted,
and rejoice that God gave the increase to that which was planted.
