Dear Friend,
After 64 years of patchwork here and there, my time of service is almost over, and I don’t think I can make it through another winter.
For $82,000, I will be able to hire Mac, a Weil-McLain LGB20 top-of-the-line unit. He will operate 30% more efficiently, saving on fuel costs. I will run a Boiler Fund Project from Monday, July 20 through Thursday, December 31 to pay for him. With your help, I can retire in peace!
You know our 200-year-old church is a community church that includes the home of the Meadville Community Soup Kitchen, which serves more than 300 people per week, Monday through Friday; the Stone Children’s Center, offering quality care Monday through Friday for 45 children, ages 6 weeks through kindergarten; a monthly food box distribution for seniors; a meeting spot for Girl Scout troops as well as various community organizations like the Erie United Methodist Alliance to end homelessness and support groups.
I know we can reach our goal together – this congregation has already raised $44,070 of the needed funds! Please mail your check to the church or use our online giving at stoneumc.org/give.
If you have any questions, please contact my assistant Jennifer Royer in the Stone Church office at 814-724-6736.
Thank you so much for your response.
Sincerely,
BUDDY THE BOILER
