Friday

Suggested Scripture reading: Mark 15:16-39 and Luke 23:26-49

Lesson/Devotional:

This is the story of Jesus dying on the cross which is called the Crucifixion. Jesus suffered very much on the cross to save us. Some people didn’t believe that Jesus was God’s son and three hours before he died the whole world went dark. After Jesus cried out and took his last breath a curtain in the temple tore down the middle and the earth shook and the people knew then that he was the Son of God.

They took his body and placed him in a tomb made of rock and placed a rock in front of the tomb. This was a sad day but remember, this is not the end!! We are sinners. It is impossible for any of us not to sin. Sin is anything we do to disobey God. But Jesus obeyed God and died for us on the cross to forgive our sins.
