A Word About the Safety and Security of Children at Stone Church

Stone Church takes its responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment for the children entrusted to its educational ministries very seriously.  Under the constant direction and oversight of its Nurture Committee Chair, Ms. Lynn Atwell, the Church executes a detailed and constantly updated plan to reasonably assure the safety of all children while on Stone’s premises or while engaged in church related activities elsewhere.  All class leaders for classes involving children or youth  in Stone’s educational program have current Pennsylvania clearance certificates.

Sunday School for Children and Youth.  Stone provides separate classes for appropriate age groups from pre-school through high school.   Separate classes will be available for preschool children, children from kindergarten through second grade, children in grades three through five, children in grades six thruough eight and youth from grades nine through twelve.

Stone utilizes the United Methodist approved Rock Solids curriculum for its Sunday School program for pre-school through sixth grade.

The New Covenant Group.  New Covenanters are men and women of all ages who focus upon a study of faith and social issues from a more progressive perspective.
